In celebration of Trinity Habitat for Humanity’s 30th Anniversary, community partners came together to build Gigi and her kids’ Habitat home in less than 30 hours!
Gigi survived the Rwandan genocide, escaped an abusive husband, and has been working hard in partnership with Trinity Habitat to build a better life for her three children. You can learn more about Gigi’s story here: TrinityHabitat.org/Gigi.
30 Hours in 30 Seconds!
Gigi worked 29 of the 30 hours alongside hundreds volunteers building here home! She went way above and beyond her required Habitat sweat equity hours! “I want to be able to meet and thank everyone who is helping me and my family. This is such a blessing!”
We are so grateful to all of our 30-Hour Build Sponsors who helped make Gigi’s dream of owning her own a home a reality!
Thank you FTS International, Alcon Foundation, Chase, First Presbyterian Fort Worth, First United Methodist Church of Hurst, Higginbotham, V Fine Homes, and Deloitte University/Benchmark Hospitality!
We build homes year-round, but typically not in 30 hours. We are so grateful to our volunteers and would love to see you out on the build site! Check available opportunities and sign up at TrinityHabitat.org/volunteer/build.
